All these seventy-one marriages, involving 142 marriage partners, were solemnized between 1853 and 1857 by the priest Daniel Downey (who emigrated from Downpatrick, in County Down).  Nearly all of these brides and grooms were born in Ireland.  Few birthplaces were cited. Names of the parents were supplied in forty-four of the holy junctures.  Most of the partners were being married for the first time.

Individuals'  ages ranged from seventeen to forty. Most partners were in their twenties or thirties. No ages were noted for fifty-four of these individuals.

Of the surnames mentioned, some are principally associated with counties Cork and Kerry: Collins---Cronin---Crowley---Curtin---Donovan---Harrington---Hurley---Mahony---
